Organization

The workshop is organized in collaboration with the French GDR HOWDI ("Low DImensional van der Waals
HeterOstructures") which is both a national research network ("groupement de recherche", GDR 2112, financed by
the CNRS) and an international coordination network (IRN "Graphene and co"). Every five years a larger scale conference is held outside France in partner countries of the IRN. After Houffalize, Belgium (2009),
Barcelona, Spain (2014), and Bad Herrenalb, Germany (2019), the 2024 edition of the workshop is held in Luxembourg.
